Configure content and messages

Choose a template or customization mode, then set the bot name, status line, welcome message, input placeholder and lead-form prompt. Write for the visitor, not for the internal team.

  • Make the first message explain what the agent can help with.
  • Keep the input placeholder short.
  • Use quick messages for the highest-value customer intents.
  • Explain why lead information is requested.

Set layout and display

Choose widget size and page position. Confirm that the bubble does not cover checkout controls, cookie notices, mobile navigation or accessibility tools.

Choose features and timing

Configure quick-message persistence, action buttons, timestamps, sound, typing simulation and status messages. Use automation and timing settings carefully so the widget attracts attention without interrupting the page.

Conversion principle: the widget should be visible and inviting, but the message should appear because it is relevant—not merely because a timer expired.

Use readable typography

Select a brand-compatible font and a comfortable size. Test long answers, buttons, form fields and multilingual characters. Small desktop text often becomes difficult to use on mobile.

Configure colours and assets

Set widget, title, background, header gradient, input, user-message, AI-message, hyperlink, tagline, bubble and border colours. Add icons, header imagery, avatars, button art or a background image only when they improve clarity.

  • Maintain strong text contrast.
  • Use one clear accent colour for actions.
  • Compress images before upload.
  • Do not place text inside decorative images when it must remain readable.

Use the live preview and test

  1. Review the closed bubble and open widget.
  2. Check welcome, quick messages and input states.
  3. Complete the lead form.
  4. Test long answers and hyperlinks.
  5. Verify desktop and mobile layouts.
  6. Save, then reload the final embedded website.
